Sex: Male
History:
December 2000: A known hypertensive. Presents with left hemisphere ischaemic stroke resulting Right hemiplegia and marked dysphasia. Admitted to Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon.
Medications:
Altace 2.5 mg od
Warfarin 2.5 mg od
Zocor 20 mg od.
Apo - diazepam 5mg b.i.d.
Methodone 30mg q4h.
Duragesic Patch 100 mcg every alternate day.
Pain uncontrolled
December 2001: Referred to Regina General Hospital.
Investigation
| MRI of brain showing left MCA infract involving slightly greater than 50% of the territory of the left MCA. The infract extends to the lateral left margin of left thalmic and involves the posterior limb of the left internal capsule. | |
