Pocket Tutorial: Neurosurgical Instruments

This is a training tool designed to help medical personnel visually associate surgical instruments with their clinical names and the procedures these instruments are associated with.

This program is organized by surgical procedure and alphabetical index of all instruments. Each surgical procedure is a visual representation of the actual instrument table and all associated materials used in that procedure. The user is able to view names of each object by passing the mouse pointer over the desired object. Also, by clicking the object the user is able to more detailed information on that object. This is useful if the user can visually identify an instrument but is unsure of that instrument's name.

On the other hand if a user wishes to associate an instrument name with an image they can do so by using the alphabetical index of instruments. Passing the mouse pointer over the instrument name displays a thumbnail preview of the associated instrument. Clicking The instrument name takes the user to a larger view of the instrument and its details.
