Multiple Left Brain Tumours

Case 4

Age: 57

Sex: Male

History: August 1, 2001- Sudden seizure x1 today. Past history of an episode of a seizure 4 years ago. Nothing since. Treated conservitevely. No history of serious illness.


Examination:

Showed severe dysphasia and right hemiparesis. Fully alert.


Pre op Head CT

CT of brain without contrast showing left sided oedema and possible mass.


CT of brain with contrast showing multiple left hemisphere masses with oedema. ?Meastisis.


Treatment:

- Chest X-Ray negative for primary lesion

- Abdominal ultrasound negative

- Abdominal CT negative

- Frameless stereotaxic crainiotomy done.
