Basilar Aneurysm

Case 7

Age: 47

Sex: Male

History: Sudden severe headaches.


Examination:

Showed drowsiness.


Pre-op CTs

CT of head showing extensive subarachnoid haemorrhage.


LT Vert Lat (Left image) and LT Vert AP (Right image) showing Basilar tip Aneurysm with vasospasm of the Basilar Artery.


Pre-op Angiograms

Left Carotid angiogram (oblique, AP, and Lateral) showing no abnormality.


Right Carotid angiogram (Lat, AP, and oblique) showing small right MCA Aneurysm and small cavernous Aneurysm.


Treatment

Coiling of the aneurysm was done in Toronto. Patient has done very well.


Post-op Angiograms

Vertibral angiogram showing a "coiled" aneurysm.
