History: Several episodes of left sided amaurosis fugax.
|

Ultrasound was suggestive of very severe left carotid stenosis. The right carotid ultrasound was normal. CT scan of the brain was normal.
|

|
|

|
This patient underwent left carotid endarterectomy and has not had anymore TIAs post-op. Carotid endarterectomy is being done only on patients with systematic stenosis of greater than 70% in the Regina Health District as of 1999.
